Cassandra M. Ooten, 25, of Millsboro, Del., passed away gently at Christiana Hospital in Newark, Del., from a rapid-onset sudden illness. She was born on Nov. 23, 1992, to Tracey and Juanita Ooten Harris in Wichita, Kansas. She moved to Delaware at 6 months and was a lifelong Delawarean.
Ooten was always upbeat, friendly and easygoing. She found a joy in everything. She was an avid NASCAR fan and devoted Dallas Cowboys fan. In addition, she loved watching “Charmed” and cooking shows. She especially loved to experiment in the kitchen.
Ooten is survived by her parents, Tracey and Juanita Harris; four siblings, Shawn Harris of Stilwell, Okla., and Travis Harris, Bethany Harris and Savannah Harris, all of Millsboro; her grandparents, Loyd and Lynne Harris of Stilwell, Okla., and Robert and Deborah Vaughn of Camden, Del.; and her beloved canine pal Gage.
Calling hours and visitation were scheduled for Feb. 4, 2018, at Watson Funeral Home, Millsboro, Del. Interment was to be private. In lieu of flowers, the family suggested memorial contributions to the Spina Bifida Association. Condolences may be sent online at www.watsonfh.com.
