Helen Jo McCracken, 88, of Millsboro, Del., passed away on Thursday, Jan. 18, 2018, at Beebe Healthcare. McCracken was born in Thomas, W.Va., on Dec. 4, 1929, to the late J. Edgar Pase and Helen Shrader Pase.
She retired from work as an assistant manager at Diamond State Telephone, which later became Verizon. McCracken was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Millsboro, Del., Telephone Pioneers, AARP chapter and the Georgetown High School Class of 1947. She enjoyed her Friday-night dinners out, followed by card games with her friends.
In addition to her parents, McCracken was preceded in death by her husband, Donald T. McCracken, in 1984, and three siblings, Yvonne, Nolan and Betty. She is survived by her brother, Roy Pase, and his wife, Dixie, of Magalia, Calif.: two nieces, Shirley Willey and Judy Murphy; three nephews, Nolan Pase Jr., Roy Pase Jr. and Dean Pase; and extended family members and friends.
A funeral service and celebration of McCracken’s life were scheduled for Jan. 23, 2018, at Watson Funeral Home, with burial in the Millsboro Cemetery, both in Millsboro, Del. The Rev.
