Guy Daryl Reckeweg, 67, of Millsboro, Del., formerly of Ridley Park, Pa., passed away Aug. 13, 2017, at his home in Millsboro. He was born July 23, 1950, in Philadelphia to the late George Reckeweg and Marie (Cavanna) Reckeweg.
Reckeweg was a 1969 graduate of Interboro High School. He enjoyed boating and crabbing, working on his home and spending time with his three grandchildren. He loved telling jokes and performing magic tricks and enjoyed dinner out with friends. He knew how to lighten up a room and made friends everywhere he went. Reckeweg brought love and laughter into everything and everyone he was associated with.
Reckeweg proudly served in the U.S. Army. He had previously worked for the Franklin Mint and Airborne Express (DHL) and most recently as a beloved bus driver for DART public transit in Rehoboth Beach, Del.
In addition to his parents, Reckeweg was preceded in death by his brother, Mark. He is survived by his daughter, Katrina Havens and her husband, Charles; his son, Bryan Reckeweg; his grandchildren, Tatiana, Nadia and Gavin; his longtime companion, Marlene Sura; and his former wife, Elizabeth (McCammon) Reckeweg.
