Roberta D. “Bert” Savage, 79, of Millsboro, Del., formerly of Wilmington, Del., passed away on Tuesday, June 19, 2018, at Beebe Healthcare in Lewes, Del. She was born in Lititz, Pa., on June 7, 1939, to the late Warren Decker and Elva (Schrieber) Decker.
Savage was a homemaker, and a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. She enjoyed time spent with her family and friends, and going to the beach.
In addition to her parents, Savage was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred W. Savage Sr., in 2003, and a son, David Leigh Counts, in 1992. She is survived by two daughters, Mindy Ribinsky and her husband, Joseph, and Deanna Savage, all of Millsboro, Del.; four grandsons, Christopher J. Harrison Jr., Zachary M. Harrison, Jameson Jackson and Cole William Jackson; a brother, James Decker and his wife, Shirley, of Avondale, Pa.; a sister, Linda Springer and her husband, John, of West Grove, Pa.; two stepsons, Alfred W. “Butch” Savage Jr. of Townsend, Del., and John S. Savage of Wilmington, Del.; three stepdaughters, Pam Inzillo of Newark, Del., Stephanie Porter of Pennsylvania and Patricia Fountain of Newark; and several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
Services and burial were to be held privately, at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Millsboro, Del.
