Mary Lu McCabe, 67, of Frankford, Del., passed away on April 27, 2018. She was born Oct. 27, 1950, daughter of Wilson O. “Sonny” and Bettye Tingle McCabe, who preceded her in death.
McCabe graduated from John M. Clayton High School in 1968. She attended Delaware Technical & Community College in Georgetown, Del., and received a legal secretary degree in 1970.She worked as a legal secretary for attorneys in Georgetown and for Family Court Judge William Swain Lee. After working in the legal field for many years, she returned to DTCC as a secretary until she retired.
In addition to her parents, McCabe was also preceded in death by her companion Jake Atkins.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, June 20, 2018, at 11 a.m. at Carey’s Cemetery, 37 Frankford Avenue, Frankford, Del. Condolences may be sent online at www.melsonfuneralservices.com.
