Ruth N. Elvey, 87, of Dagsboro, Del., formerly of Enola, Pa., went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 18, 2016.
She worked as an accountant for various companies for many years before working for the Delaware Division of Parks & Recreation at the time of her passing. Elvey was very independent, and loved going to church, drinking her black coffee, working and spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Elvey was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Elvey, her special friend Julian “Woody” Woods and a son, John Hoffman. She is survived by her daughter, JoMarie McClintock and her husband, Donald, of Pennsylvania; her son, Bradley Hall and his wife, Kim, of Dagsboro; five grandchildren, Shelly Darhower and her husband, Michael, of Pennsylvania, Dawn Louise Kell of Pennsylvania, David Hall and his wife, Amy, of Dagsboro, Chelsey Hall of Dagsboro, and Leah Hudson and her fiancé, Andy Bradford, of Millsboro, Del.; eight great-grandchildren, Emmanuel Darhower, Tyson Darhower, Brianna Hall, David Hall Jr. and Nathan Hall, and Ryan, Kayley and Avery Bradford; and a great-great-grandson, Lane Darhower.
