Reynolds “Pat” Murray Sr. 90, of Ocean View, Del., passed away March 28, 2018.
He was born in Colora, Md., on Dec. 2, 1927, to William Grier and Maude Murray. He grew up in Wilmington, Del., and graduated from Conrad High School in 1945. He served his country in the U.S. Navy.
Murray retired from Diamond State Telephone after 38 years of service. In retirement, he dedicated countless hours to community service with the Lions Club and Telephone Pioneers.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Susan J., and his second wife, Arline B.; his brother, William Grier Murray Jr.; his sisters, Betty Murray, Addie Murray and Nancy Slaughter; and his youngest son, Arthur Guy Murray.
He is survived by children and their spouses Barry and Richie; Patrick and Helen; Reynolds Jr. and Kathy; Diane Osborne and Charles; and stepson, Ben Culver and Darl. He also had eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to the Lord Baltimore Lions Club; P.O. Box 525; Ocean View, DE 19970.
