Patricia A. Johnson, 77, of Millsboro, Del., passed away on Thursday, June 16, 2016. She was born on July 28, 1938, in Elsmere, Del., to the late John Gray and Mabel Dobson Gray.
Her family moved to Millsboro when she was 6 weeks old. Johnson graduated from Millsboro High School and was a member of Zoar United Methodist Church. She worked at the Millsboro Post Office for four years and at East Millsboro Elementary School for 10 years. She then opened a daycare at home for 12 years and then primarily watched her grandchildren before she retired.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Richard C. Johnson, on April 7, 2015; her siblings Miriam Mundorf and Donald Gray; and a granddaughter, Michele Bryan. She is survived by four children in Millsboro, Robert Johnson and his wife, Lou Ann, Thomas Johnson and his wife, Monica, Stanley Johnson and his wife, Linda, and Cindy Pusey and her husband, Craig; a sister, Jane Rohlfing; sister-in-law, Ruth J. Hudson; nephew, Jack Mundorf; niece, Tracey Mundorf; her grandchildren, Tamara Bethany, Krista, Andrew, Brannon, Morgan, James, Craig Jr., Krissy and David; and four great-grandchildren, Lucy, Taylor, Michael and Dillion.
A graveside service was scheduled for June 22, 2016, at Millsboro Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggested memorial donations to Zoar United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, c/o Carisa Pepper; 24491 Gravel Hill Rd.; Millsboro, DE 19966. Condolences may be sent online at www.watsonfh.com.
