Paul Eugene Street Sr., 76, passed away on Aug. 20, 2017. He was born May 7, 1941, in Harbeson, Del., to the late Elmer Richard Street and the late Pearl “Florine” (Daisey) Street.
Street loved the land. He was a farmer and spent many hours tilling the soil. Street was also an excellent mechanic who loved working on motor vehicles — especially tractors. He could be seen driving a tractor during the annual Nanticoke Indian Powwow. Street was a faithful member of the Nanticoke Indian Association, and his contributions will be sorely missed.
Street was preceded in death by five sisters, Felicia Virginia Sammons, Lottie Street, Edith (Street) Harmon, Marian Street and Pearl (Street) Burks, and 10 brothers, Carlos Street, Benjamin Street, Vernon Street, Escuss Street, Harold Street, Lawrence Street, Curtis Street, Robert Street, Wildon Street and Everett Street.
He is survived by his two children, Paul Eugene Street Jr. of Georgetown Del., and Pauline Street of Laurel Del., and their mother, Rose Mary Street of Millsboro, Del.; a grandson, Derek Paul Street; three sisters, Margaret (Daisey) Harris of Wilmington, Del., Merle (Street) Iannuzzi of Bridgeville, Del., and Ruth Street of Houston, Texas; 11 brothers, William H. Daisey of Dover, Del., Charles Street and his wife, Meredith, of Lewes, Del., Roy Street and his wife, Shirley, of Milton, Del., Newlin Street and his wife, Cozy, of Smyrna, Del., Nolan Street of Ellendale, Del., Nathan Street of San Diego, Calif., Garceil Street of Ellendale, Victor Street and his wife, Annette, of Millsboro, Ronald Street and his wife, Gladys, of Selbyville, Del., and Carl Street and his wife, Janice, of Seaford, Del.; and a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A celebration of life service was scheduled for Aug. 26, 2017, at Watson Funeral Home in Millsboro, Del., with interment at Israel United Methodist Church Cemetery in Lewes, Del.
