Marilyn D. Lockfeld, 74, of Fenwick Island, Del., formerly of Chadds Ford, Pa., passed away on Feb. 26, 2017, at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pa.
Lockfeld graduated from Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School in Scotch Plains, N.J., in 1960 and the New Brunswick Business School in 1962. A homemaker, she was active in the Chadds Ford Area Women’s Club, Garden Club and Red Hats. Lockfeld also volunteered at the Rachel Kohl Library and was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, Wilmington, Del.
Lockfeld was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Evelyn Geetlein. She is survived by her best friend and loving husband of 55 years, William S. Lockfeld Sr.; their children, William S. Lockfeld Jr. and his wife, Beth, Melissa L. Harrison and her husband, Robert E. “Sudzy” Harrison Jr., and Michael S. Lockfeld Sr. and his wife, Robyn; and grandchildren Tiffany, Meredith, William Lockfeld III, Emily, Lauren and Michael Lockfeld Jr.
