Marshall F. Hall, 80, of Selbyville, Del., passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2017, at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury, Md. He was born in Willards, Md., on Dec. 21, 1936, son of the late Frederick M. Hall Jr. and Emma (Hudson) Hall.
Hall proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1954 to 1957, aboard the U.S.S. Midway, and was later stationed in Japan. He retired on April 7, 2016, from work at Perdue as a truck driver, receiving the Million Miles Award. He was a humble man and a wonderful provider to his family. He enjoyed his work and was an avid boater and fisherman. He will be fondly remembered as a devoted and loving husband, father, brother and grandfather.
Hall is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Barbara (Short) Hall; three sons, Keith Hall, Robert Hall and Kevin Hall; two daughters, Marsha Hopkins and Sheila Cooper; a brother, Frederick M. Hall III; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
A graveside service was scheduled for Jan. 31, 2017, at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Millsboro, Del. In lieu of flowers, the family suggested memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society by visiting www.cancer.org. Condolences may be sent online at www.melsonfuneralservices.com.
