Doris T. Powell, 85, of Dagsboro, Del., passed away on Saturday, Dec. 24, 2016, in Beebe Healthcare, Lewes, Del.
She was born Nov. 22, 1931, in Frankford, Del., a daughter of the late Joseph and Recie Littletown Townsend.
Powell was a homemaker and a lifetime member of the Millville Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Wilmer W. Powell; two sons, Greg Powell and his wife, Pam, and Richard “Rick” Powell; one daughter, Sharon Davis and her husband, Joe; four grandchildren, Corey Powell, Cameron Powell, Richard Powell Jr. and Ryne Davis; and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Friday, Dec. 30, 2016, at 2 p.m. at Melson Funeral Services, 43 Thatcher Street, Frankford, Del., where friends may call after 1 p.m. Burial will follow in St. George’s Cemetery, Clarksville, Del.
