Velma G. Hudson, 80, of Frankford, Del., died Monday, Aug. 29, 2016, at Coastal Hospice at the Lake in Salisbury, Md. Hudson was born in Roxana, Del., daughter of the late Raymond Hudson and Hilda (Long) Hudson.
Hudson retired in 2001 from Indian River School District as a cafeteria manager. She was also a member of Sound United Methodist Church near Williamsville, Del.
Hudson was preceded in death by her brother, George R. Hudson. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Joseph I. Hudson; two daughters, Shelley K. Ennis and her husband, Fred, of Salisbury, and Kimberly J. Hudson and her husband, Bill, of Frankford; four grandchildren, Aaron Ennis and his wife, Jessica, Patrick Ennis, Joshua Hudson and his wife, Melinda, and Kristin Hudson; three great-grandchildren, Zachary, Brianna and Colin; a sister, June Truitt of Selbyville, Del.; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was scheduled for Sept. 2, 2016, at Bishop-Hastings Funeral Home, Selbyville, Del., with the Rev. Cliff Toomey officiating and burial in Roxana Cemetery.
